Scotland has been the birthplace of many, many great patterns over the past 200 years or so. The Green Highlander, which began life as a fully dressed classic Atlantic Salmon Fly is now probably one of the best known Salmon flies in the world. Its appeal stretches as far as Russia and Scandinavia to the west coast of the U.S.A., and all points in between. It is exceedingly good in clear water, giving the best of its splendid colouring in these conditions. This version is the Templedog styled dressing and is dressed with long and mobile wing materials which are ideal for fishing in the faster flowing rivers.

Invented by the late Ray Brooks and named after his fishing lodge, the Sunray Shadow has a worldwide following of "in-the-know" followers. It is a spectacularly successful pattern which has the ability to produce takes in absolutely all conditions. It is sometimes fished as a riffled pattern on the surface and at other times as a deeply sunk lure. It can be found in varying lengths from mini-tubes to 9 and even 11 inch specimens and all measurements in between. This is approximately a 9" version with a white underwing.
